What is Windows 11 Enterprise?
Windows 11 is the latest Microsoft’s operating system. Released in October 2021, Windows 11 is an upgrade to Windows 10. The biggest difference between the two is the better and more intuitive user experience with Windows 11. The newer operating system is equipped with a new Start menu, an improved taskbar and a snap feature allowing users to more easily arrange the windows on their screen. Windows 11 also comes with new features like Widgets that provide personalized content. With the Microsoft Teams integration you can communicate and collaborate more efficiently with your colleagues. Performance improvements are also amongst the enhancements with new security features (Trusted Platform Module - TPM 2.0) and Windows Hello improvements. Windows 11 is compatible with most Windows 10 devices but you need to carefully check the requirements.

Windows 11 Professional vs. Enterprise
Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Enterprise are operating systems suitable for professional use. The main difference between the two is that Windows 11 Pro meets the requirements of small to medium-sized companies, while Windows 11 Enterprise is mostly aimed at medium to bigger-sized businesses. This is also noticeable from the features. For example, Windows 11 Enterprise offers protection against ransomware, malware, and phishing through the features of secure boot and device guard. Moreover, Windows 11 Enterprise offers better collaboration support with the help of shared calendars and virtual desktops.
Support end dates for Windows 11 Enterprise:
Windows 11 Enterprise follows Microsoft's Modern Lifecycle Policy, which means each version has its own individual support end date—there is no single, overarching end-of-support for “Windows 11 Enterprise” as a product.
So, if you’re on Windows 11 Enterprise version 24H2, your system will continue receiving updates until November 8, 2027. After that, you'll need to upgrade to a newer version—such as 25H2, expected in late 2025—to maintain support and receive updates.
