You can choose from various editions such as Microsoft Project 2021, 2019, and 2016. Each edition comes in two versions: Project Standard and Project Professional. The main differences between the two software consist of the available features. With Project 2021 Professional you can synchronize your files with Project Online and Project Server. Keep in mind that if you want to use Microsoft Project with Office, you need to pay attention to the year version. You cannot mix years, so if you want to use Microsoft Project 2021, you need an Office 2021. With an on-premise license Microsoft Project 2021, you purchase the rights to use the software for an unlimited duration, since the software does not expire.
